We are increasing the maximum possible timeout for functions from 30 seconds to 15 mins. This timeout extension makes it easier for users to run batch processing or complex background tasks. The new timeout can be set both via the Cloud console and the doctl CLI. Learn more about setting function timeouts here.
We are excited to announce the introduction of the latest generation of AMD EPYC™ processors for our Premium AMD Droplet plans. Powered by 3rd Gen AMD EPYC™ processors, superfast PCIe Gen 4 storage, and high-speed 100 GbE networking, these Droplets can now provide even better performance. While customers do not choose the processor their Droplet runs on, some Droplets created in SFO3, SGP1, FRA1, and NYC1 data centers will run on 3rd gen AMD EPYCTM processors and as we continue to deploy more, this will increase the likelihood of new Droplets running this generation. Check out the Droplet plan information page to see if premium AMD Droplets are the right fit for you.
*Beta releases may not be appropriate for production-level workloads. We encourage users to use simulated test data and avoid running sensitive workloads in Beta products.
